Mia Rönnmar is a Professor in Private Law, specialising in Swedish, European and comparative labour law and industrial relations. She combines detailed legal dogmatic studies of central labour law and EU law issues with comparative and interdisciplinary/social science oriented approaches. Her research has covered issues such as employment contracts, employment protection, discrimination, collective bargaining and collective action, and information and consultation. Mia Rönnmar is coordinator of the Norma Research Programme at the Faculty of Law at Lund University (a research centre affiliated with the Labour Law Research Network, LLRN), focusing on the legal regulation of everyday life and social integration, and the cross-boundary study of labour markets, social welfare, ageing populations, and families. She is Past-President of ILERA (the International Labour and Employment Relations Association), and organiser of the 19th ILERA World Congress in Lund in 2021, former Dean of the Faculty of Law at Lund University and former Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Comparative Labour Law and Industrial relations. She has published widely in international peer review journals and international publishing houses, conducted expert work for international organisations, including the ILO and the European Commission, national governments, and social partners, and been a visiting researcher at e.g. the EUI, LSE, and Sydney Law School. Furthermore, Mia Rönnmar has extensive teaching experience in the fields of labour law and EU law, at Bachelor, Master, and Post-Graduate level.
