About this Guided Project

Learn step-by-step

In a video that plays in a split-screen with your work area, your instructor will walk you through these steps:

  1. Set up a trial account on the Wolfram notebook edition.

  2. Plot the curve of Coulombs force and analyze the variables that affect Coulombs law.

  3. Compute potential energy of the system of charges and practice with alterations.

  4. Calculate and assess the electrostatic force between the two fundamental charges.

  5. Compare the electrostatic force to the gravitational attraction for a proton and an electron.

  6. Determine the lines of force and equipotential lines under different scenarios.

Recommended experience

Basic knowledge of charges, masses, electrical fields and experimental result of Coulomb's Law.
