Yes, IIIT Hyderabad is accredited by NAAC (Grade A++), recognised by UGC and approved by AICTE.‎

The total tuition fee is ₹2,56,000 INR or $3,200 USD, split equally across 8 terms. You will have to register for each term individually and pay the term fee. Currently, we don't have any scholarships available for this degree.‎

You will learn through a combination of live sessions, recorded videos, readings, self/group projects, and assessments. You will also have personalised mentorship opportunities via academic mentors, master-classes and networking with industry experts, and peer learning opportunities via discussion forums. Optional campus immersion opportunities will also be available.‎

Although the time commitment may vary from student to student, you will be required to spend between 18-20 hours per week on this programme. The degree can be completed within a flexible timeframe ranging from two to six years.‎

For each course in a term, you will have 24 live teaching sessions with the faculty. Each live session will be about two hours long. The sessions will be conducted weekly on Saturdays, online through Zoom.‎

The MSIT programme offers strong mentorship support through academic mentors to prepare you for succeeding in the degree. You can attend guided group sessions or schedule personalised 1:1 sessions to resolve doubts, solve problems, and get feedback. MSIT academic mentors are past MSIT students with years of experience, who know what it takes to succeed in the programme.‎

Yes, the institute will provide career advisory and skill-building services which will include resume and interview prep, job search help, personal branding, communication skill building, networking etc. You can view the details here.‎

Yes, once you graduate with the degree you will be awarded the IIIT-H MSIT alumni status added to the MSIT alumni group. You will have opportunities to network, access open job opportunities, and attend events. ‎

Yes, the programme provides you with the opportunity to collaborate with students from around the world on projects. Additionally, weekly synchronous sessions will help you interact with others. To encourage self-initiative, peer groups and communities will be available to you through Slack.‎

• After you enrol, you will get access to study materials, discussion forums, and the session schedule on the Coursera platform.
• Once the first module begins, you’ll be able to ask the faculty questions during and post sessions, get feedback on doubts, and network with peers. ‎

Yes, you will have access to on-campus facilities like library, events, workshops and meets. However, you will need to procure a physical ID card from the institute first. No hostel facility shall be provided.‎

Yes, all online students will get digital student ID cards from IIIT Hyderabad. If you want a physical ID card, you can apply for the card on campus.‎

Yes, you can visit the campus. There may also be optional on-campus immersions planned during the programme.‎

No, this programme does not include any internships but a capstone project is part of the curriculum. ‎

The courses in this programme will be taught in English. While there are no specific requirements for enrolment, it is essential to have the ability to understand and write in English since the programme is delivered in the English language. ‎

There is no work experience required for the programme.‎

No prior programming or IT experience is necessary for this programme. Basic english communication and knowledge of 1st year college level mathematics(For AIML & Data Science specialisations) is needed. The only eligibility requirement is 16 years of formal education with either a Bachelors in STEM (STEM includes all B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc. (Computer Science, IT, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Statistics, IT), B.A. Economics, B.C.A.) or a M.Sc. (Maths, Statistics, IT), MCA. Once you submit your application, IIIT Hyderabad will review the application. If your application is accepted, IIIT Hyderabad will send an admit letter by email.‎

No, you cannot transfer credits into this programme as of now. ‎
